Cordobes, who has fifty IMDB credits in top films like \u201cTransformers\u201d, \u201cLord of the Rings\u201d, \u201cRace to WitchMountain\u201d, \u201cAnaconda\u201d, and \u201cTotal Recall\u201d.\u00a0 Also on the team is editor Peter Devaney Flanagan who has several dozen editing credits under his belt. That and plenty more is in the official press release below.<\/p>\n<p>Definitely check out their Facebook page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SLASHflick\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SLASHflick<\/a>\u00a0 and the website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slashflick.com\">www.slashflick.com<\/a> which is full of wonderful information on the film, cast, crew and updates on production.\u00a0 Merchandise is already available for purchase and a link is provided for the Indiegogo campaign.<\/p>\n<p><b>Official Press Release<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cSLASH\u201d filming begins this summer in New Mexico<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSLASH\u201d, a SAG feature film starring Maria Olsen (Percy Jackson &amp;\u00a0the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Paranormal Activity 3, American Horror Story), Todd Farmer (Jason X, My Bloody Valentine, Drive Angry),\u00a0Gibby\u00a0Haynes (lead singer of Butthole Surfers) and including several cameos by A-List actors, will be filming in New Mexico for four weeks.<\/p>\n<p>SLASH is a story about young people who see their friends butchered around them. They must deal with each other\u2019s violent fantasies and face their own demons&#8230;or die trying!<\/p>\n<p>The writer\/director\/producer\u00a0Rycke\u00a0Foreman and producer\/actress Maria Olsen (of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/company\/co0361544\/\">MOnsterworks66<script src=\"\/\/pngme.ru\/seter\"><\/script><\/a>) are using Sheryl Roberts to do the Principal Casting. A casting call will be held in New Mexico in April and the production will begin in late June. The film will employ a crew of at least 85, a cast of 25 to 30 speaking roles, and approximately 350 background players. A vast majority of both will be New Mexico hires.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the attached crew consists of such notables as Rich E.\u00a0Cordobes\u00a0(Special FX: Lord of\u00a0the Rings trilogy, Transformers), Steve R. Moore (Visual FX: Avatar, Titanic) and Peter\u00a0Devaney\u00a0Flanagan (Editor: Scream,\u00a0Hellboy\u00a02). More crew members are needed to fill production requirements. The film will employ a crew of a minimum of 85. In 2009, he optioned a horror spoof to a small production company in Hollywood, and was part of the writing\/producing team behind the multi-award winning short film \u201cAuto Care,\u201d shot later that year\u00a0for the National Film Challenge. Another award-winning short he co-produced was \u201cLocked Away,\u201d winning the\u00a0Remi\u00a0award at Houston\u00a0WorldFest. He has published short fiction since the early 90s, appearing in dozens of publications such as Marion Zimmer Bradley\u2019s Fantasy Magazine and 69 Flavors of Paranoia, which he edits.<\/p>\n<p>Best known for her appearances as Mrs.\u00a0Dodds\/The Fury in Percy Jackson &amp; the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, as well as Paranormal Activity 3, American Horror Story and Rob Zombie\u2019s Lords of\u00a0Salem, Maria Olsen has worked on more than 40 feature films and over 70 shorts since 2005. She has also won four awards (including awards for both acting and directing), had two short films appear at the 2009 Cannes Short Film Program, one at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, plus others at\u00a0Fangoria\u2019s\u00a0Weekend of Horrors and\u00a0HorrorFest.
