Instead of costly ad campaigns, Lewton\u2019s films<br \/>\nboasted such attention-grabbing titles as \u201cI Walked With a Zombie\u201d and \u201cCat People.\u201d Lewton was the spiritual godfather of such B-movie horror film legends as Samuel Z. Arkoff and Roger Corman. \u201cThe Glitter of Putrescence: Val Lewton at RKO\u201d runs today through March 30 at Harvard Film Archive.
