\u201cCute Little Buggers\u201d is Tony Jopia\u2019s latest project due out next year.\u00a0 \u201cWhen hostile aliens crash land on local farmland the villagers at the summer ball get suspicious when young women start going missing. The villagers soon band together around our hero Melchoir to fend off the invaders and bring back peace to the sleepy English countryside!\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Tony has an extensive resume and gained tons of film and TV experience since the early 90s.\u00a0 He\u2019s worked in multiple companies as a director, producer, developer, and in the promotions and creativity departments, amongst many other jobs.\u00a0 He\u2019s also been involved in children\u2019s productions including Disney Channel Italy.\u00a0 Maybe \u201cCute Little Buggers\u201d derived from some of his work on the children shows?<\/p>\n

Five Quick Questions with Tony Jopia \u2013 2014 Cute Little Buggers<\/b><\/p>\n

Where is \u201cCute Little Buggers\u201d currently in production and when will it be released?<\/p>\n

TONY: CLB was shot over July and quickly moved into Post Production \u2013 we hope to have the first rough cut delivered in the next 3 weeks as we have a visual effects depart embarking on bring the rabbits and aliens to life.<\/b><\/p>\n

This will be a slow process and hope to complete by next June. We\u2019ve had approaches from a number of major distributers and all want it as soon as possible but realistically we hope to deliver something by next summer they will then decide its release date \u2013 possibly Halloween 2014 (if not earlier)<\/b><\/p>\n

The summary states that it\u2019s a Gremlins meets Hot Fuzz. What can we expect from this film?<\/p>\n

TONY: We have a fantastic array of characters all great caricatures of country folks who are thrown into a fantastic situation. Armed them, give them a few kick ass lines and thrown in tsunami of crazed up rabbit alien action and its got the makings of the meatiest cocktail of movie horror comedy fun you can imagine.<\/b><\/p>\n
