The film starts off with a 60s/70s style educational animation that is whacky and quite comical. Throughout the film a couple stories parallel each other. One being Richie (Brandon Salkil) as the main character drug user of the highly potent zombie creating bath salt, and the other is federal agents trying to stop the dealer and pharmacist concocting the drug (Looking good in a lab coat with a smoking pipe Mr. Mills!).
The only logical explanation for the outrageous content of the film is that writer, director, cinematographer…and so forth, Dustin Mills may have consumed the potent bath salt himself. With a very small budget and successfully utilizing whatever resources he had, combined with his behind the camera experience, Bath Salt Zombies turned out to be an amusing, bizarre, psychotic independent horror/comedy, which includes (but not limited too):
- Comedy
- Cannibalism
- Horror
- Animation
- Bizarre effects
- Punk Rock Music
- Striptease
- Face ripping
- Drugs
As the film progresses the story develops, like it should, and the scenes get more bizarre. Whether you like it or not its hypnotic, and you can’t do much but take it all in and enjoy watching it. The chase scenes, gun battles and fight scenes were video game style that are psychedelic and crack up the audience.
