One of the most anticipated zombie films of 2015 is Jim Towns State of Desolation. It’s packed with a well-recognized cast including our favorites, Jamie Bernadette, Craig Stark, Sadie Katz, Maria Olsen, Daniel Buran, Dominique Swain, Victoria De Mare, and Jessica Morris.
The story of an unusual relationship forged between an aging mercenary and a young pampered suburbanite as they both try to survive the Apocalypse.
State of Desolation will keep audiences engrossed with the battles to survive the zombie apocalypse containing astounding special effects, but there’s also a dramatic relationship and development between characters that builds throughout. Claire (Jamie Bernadette) and Freddie (Craig Stark) need to escape zombies, ruthless renegades/cult members, and handle all the stress during their trek to safety.
Don’t let the pampered suburban girl fool you though. Jamie Bernadette tells us about her character, “Claire is a spoiled suburbanite, but she reveals some surprises in the film and we find out that her life isn’t as “perfect” as what it first appears. She changes so quickly under the dire circumstances, becoming mentally and physically stronger throughout the film.” Jamie adds, “She learns how to truly listen and care about other people, and, for the first time in her life, she lets go of all of the surface manifestations she has worn, letting us see her for who she really is. She learns how to love, and be loved in return. We see her at her weakest moments and the strongest moments of her life during this apocalypse.”
Keep your fingers crossed that the film will be release very soon as director, writer, and co-producer Jim Towns is working 24/7 to get the film released by the end of 2015. Distributors already have lined up asking to screen it Jim told B Movie Nation. Additionally Jim reveals, “We just finished principal photography in November so we’re still deep in post-production (some of the VFX shots are starting to come in and they look awesome). Hopefully we’ll have a trailer out for everyone sometime around Valentine’s Day”.
Jim added, “I’m really excited about the film. It was a very difficult shoot that spread out over seven months and a huge geographical area in hot LA Summer weather, but we had a great crew including my DP Ray Karwel, and our cast was phenomenal… of course Jamie is a joy to work with, both as a lead actress and my co-producer on the film. Craig Stark is a really impressive actor who’s finally getting the recognition he deserves and our supporting cast was incredible. Big talents like Dominique Swain, Daniel Buran, Sadie Katz, Maria Olsen, Jessica Morris and Victoria De Mare”.
