Located at 57 N. Main St., Franklin, IN, The Historic Artcraft Theatre was built in 1922 as a silent movie theater and Vaudeville house complete with an orchestra pit and full stag. It was renovated in 1936 when Trueman Rembusch purchased the building and again in 1948 when the classic Art Deco streamlining and neon were added. Today, the theatre hosts 625 seats and operates a dual 35mm change-over projector as well as digital capabilities. It remains one of the most intact Art Deco movie houses in central Indiana and is listed on the Indiana State Register of Historic Places.
Sponsorship for this event is provided by Larry and Nancy VanArendonk, Canines in Action and Anime World Expos.
