Paul Logan has starred in action, comedy, drama, and horror films along with starring in prime time TV series and a soap opera. He was born and raised in NY and was a skinny kid that was constantly being bullied. That’s when he dedicated himself and began martial arts training at the age of 13. He started with Okinawa Go Ju Karate and excelled. Logan entered college at 17 still a skinny guy at 6’ 0” weighing 145 lbs. and decided it was time to do something about that. “I grabbed a poster of Sylvester Stallone in RAMBO, put it on my dorm room door and said I want to look like that!” He joined a gym, learned all he could and the rest is history. “I don’t drink, smoke or do and any drugs. I’ve never done any anabolics. I always thought it was cheating.” Being dedicated to developing his martial arts and physical strength, he also was committed to an education. Logan is highly educated with a degree in bio-chemistry, and studied chiropractic arts. Logan initially didn’t plan on being an actor, but after some early success with acting he pursued that career whole heartedly. He acted in many action films and worked with Roger Corman, Jim Wynorski, and The Asylum, he also was a contract player as Glen Reiber on Days of Our Lives in from 2000 to 2003 and he appeared in the popular TV series Friends and Angel. Logan has also graced the covers and insides of countless fitness magazines.
Logan also starred in the film THE ELIMINATOR and worked alongside UFC champion Bas Rutten. The two became friends and Logan has trained MMA with him ever since. All his hard work and training has paid off and resulted in realistic fight scenes in his films. Not only did Logan perform in the scenes, he did all his own fight choreography and stunts. “I wanted all of the fights in this movie to be real, brutal, visceral. I want the audience to FEEL every strike. Our stunt team lead by Tony Snegoff was great in giving me real mutants to fight. These fights are bad ass…it’s Batman vs. Bane!” His outstanding martial arts fighting skills have been entertaining audiences as he combated villains, fought terrorism, zombies, mega-piranhas, and a COBRAGATOR just to name a few.
Logan is not just a highly regarded actor, he’s also a writer that has written multiple scripts. His script THE HORDE, he considered his pride and joy as he shares. “I’ve written six scripts. The reason this one came about was because I thought most horror films are the same. It’s a bunch of kids going into the woods, the killer or the killers hunt them down one at a time until there is usually one girl left and she gets away. We’ve seen it a million times. But we’ve seen it million times because that’s what the horror audience wants, expects and enjoys. So I thought, what would happen if you had the same scenario, a bunch of kids out on a nature photography field trip in the woods with their teacher. A bunch of mutant, cannibalistic killers hunting them down… but one person in their group was ex-special forces, was a Navy SEAL and can turn the hunters into the hunted. You have all of the boo scares, terror and gore of a horror film and all of the extreme action and brutal fights of an action movie as well as a cool love story. This film is extremely personal to me, I feel so fortunate to have gotten it done and that it has turned out so amazing. THE HORDE is a perfect blend of action and horror that will keep the audience on the edge of their seat!”
Most recently, Logan started up his new company Razors Edge Productions and began the process of getting funds to make THE HORDE. It wasn’t long before 313 Films and Razors Edge partnered up and THE HORDE will be the debut feature film for both companies. “We were excited to work with Paul Logan for 313 FILMS’ first project. THE HORDE was a great script with lots of horror and action that would appeal to a wide audience. Paul was great to work with and cared so much about every aspect of this project from pre-production, to every day on set filming, and into post production. 313 Films gave him all the freedom Logan needed to ensure the films comes out exactly like his vision. Logan was adamant about the film containing realistic stunts and fighting to ensure action of brutal mutant ass kicking. THE HORDE has a significant amount of action and horror, that the film can be classified in either genre. A good description of the film is THE HILLS HAVE EYES meets RAMBO.
THE HORDE
John Crenshaw accompanies his girlfriend and her students on a weekend nature-photography expedition deep into the woods. What should be an educational and fun-filled weekend turns into horror as the group is besieged by an unspeakable evil – a horde of hideously disfigured, mutated humans with an insatiable taste for blood. As things go from bad to worse, Crenshaw becomes their only hope if they are going to get out alive.

With a long list of contacts he’s made over the years, he called his friends that he knew would be perfect to join the team. One of his first few calls was to Director Jared Cohn and Producer Gabriel Campisi. “I wanted Jared Cohn to direct it, Jared is an amazing director and we worked so well with each other. We put our heads together and with our amazing cast and crew were able to transfer 99% of what I wrote onto the screen. It was such a great collaborative effort. As a producer, it was amazing to actually have the freedom of creativity to do things the way I envisioned them. I brought Gabe Campisi on board. He is a great nuts and bolts producer and super guy. It was nice to know things were being handled while I was on set by Gabe,” Logan shared.
The mutants’ main goal is to scare the audience and fortunately Eric Fox and his company MORB-X FX came highly recommended. Logan and Fox discussed details and ideas to create terrifying, primitive creatures. Fox took all of Logan’s descriptions and went to the extreme and created the most horrifying beasts imaginable.
“I gotta say it was a real honor to work with Paul Logan on The Horde,” tells Eric Fox. “Not only was this guy an extremely hard worker and passionate about the craft he is a walking action figure and probably one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. As an effects artist it’s always great to work with somebody that trusts you to take their ideas and come up with cool visuals to represent what they have in their mind and in the Case with Paul he let us pretty much have free reign to come up with the creatures that you see in the film . I got to say that the team that he has assembled on this project was one of the funniest ones I’ve worked with. Even though with the crazy conditions quick turnaround and deadlines he’s getting this project done and trying to coordinate with the big names in this film . Paul was able to do it the whole time with a smile on his face kind words to his crew and always that sense of we can do it. I cannot wait till people get a chance to check out this film. I think it’s really going to surprise a lot of people for what can be done with a moderate budget, little time and just a whole lot of heart and passion to complete a work of art.”
With numerous actor friends, Logan started calling who he knew would be ideal for his film and breathe life into his characters including Bill Moseley, Vernon Wells, Nestor Serrano, Matt Willig, and one of his first calls was to Costas Mandylor, who he discussed the script with previously. “Many films are done in the rough with dedicated types all over the set,” says Mandylor. “Sometimes the odds are against us, time, money, etc., but when you work with people that are dedicated and trying to elevate the tasks at hand the quality, so to speak, for viewers, then a little magic happens, no matter what size budget you have you make the best you can. In saying that Paul Logan was a pro always ready to go, to listen, to collaborate, and others the same, I haven’t seen it, but I heard we did good,” Costas Mandylor.

Now that THE HORDE is completed and being released, Logan is already at it again working on yet another film that he wrote as he tells, “My next project is also one that I wrote. It’s called THE EDGE OF MADNESS, it’s basically DIE HARD in an Asylum. My character is a detective trapped in an asylum that houses the worst of the worst of the criminally insane. Lots of action… it Rocks.” In his free time Paul collects comic books (he’s a Huge BATMAN fan), works on his 65 Shelby and plays with his little black pug Batz (who also had a cameo in THE HORDE)
