    The Spotlight Shines on Ashley Park

    THE SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON ASHLEY PARK

    “She is one of the most talented actresses I have ever worked with,” says filmmaker Kathy DiStefano about working with Ashley Park on her latest movie, LAST LIFE.  “Her dedication to the projects she’s involved in is very inspiring.”
    Other industry professionals who have worked with Park agree, describing her as a tenacious, talented, brilliant and stunning individual, with an exceptional personality and work ethic.  It’s no surprise, then, that she’s starring in numerous upcoming films and series, including TERROR TALES, ROGUE WARRIOR: ROBOT FIGHTER, AROUND THE BED, ROSEWOOD, BAD SEX WITH GOOD PEOPLE, and DiStefano’s LAST LIFE.

    Park has always been success-driven and strong-minded, with a competitive nature instilled in her at an early age.  Throughout her school years she won multiple state championships and awards in swimming, cross country, and track.  In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she was an All-SEC Academic Athlete in Journalism and Spanish.  After graduating college, she utilized her journalism degree to work at Seventeen Magazine.
    Both her beauty and intelligence shined recently at the Miss Asia USA competition, where she was crowned Queen for 2015-2016.  She was also crowned Miss Korea USA for 2014-2015.

    Park reflects on her accomplishments and talks about the near future:  “I always find November and December to be a time of reflection,” says Park.  “I start finding myself looking back on the past year, and reflecting on everything that took place, so that I can look for ways to improve in the coming year.  It’s been a whirlwind, without a doubt.  I was crowned Miss Asia USA around this time last year, so as I pass on the crown to the next titleholder, I am filled with eternal gratitude for being granted a Cinderella year that I never imagined coming true.”

    While her acting and modeling career takes up most of her time, education is very important to her.  When she’s not acting, she’s working on getting her MBA degree.  And if that’s not enough, Park is also producing some new and exciting projects that she’ll be releasing information about soon.
    “It was a very exciting year, filled with a myriad of opportunities,” Park said.  “I filmed Last Life, Bad Sex With Good People, Around The Bed, Rosewood, and Terror Tales, and produced a couple of projects as well. Los Angeles Overnight, Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter and Bad Sex With Good People are all set to release soon, and Last Life just premiered on YouTube.  I’m very grateful for the year I had, and the incredible support I received from friends and family.  I’m ready to take on 2017, just as soon as I’ve had enough of frosting sugar cookies for the holidays!”

    ROGUE WARRIOR: ROBOT FIGHTER  

    Park plays a ‘pleasure bot’ in the Neil Johnson directed science fiction film.  Johnson’s film fixes on the overthrow of humanity by Artificial Intelligence and the determined rebel, Sienna who goes up against the droid empire.

    Tracey Birdsall stars as Sienna in ROGUE WARRIOR and is one of the producers, “Ashley was exactly what we needed for Rogue Warrior! Consistent, professional, with a lovely quirkiness… !” shared Birdsall about Park.  

    In addition to Birdsall, the film stars William Kircher (The Hobbit), Daz Crawford (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Marilyn Ghiggliotti (Clerks).  The film has won numerous awards at festivals including Best Director (Neil Johnson), Sound Design (Vic Kaspar, Dirk Kloiber) and the Unique Vision award (Neil Johnson).  This highly anticipated sci-fi film will be distributed by Sony in 2017.

    LOS ANGELES OVERNIGHT

    Park stars in this film about a struggling actress that inherits a bevy of colorful villains after desperation (with a touch of femme fatale) drives her and her gullible boyfriend to steal big from the Los Angeles underworld.Producer and Director Michael Chrisoulakis had a lot of confidence in Park as her role of Abelie.  “From the moment I met Ashley I knew she was perfect for the role, but what I didn’t know was how professional and dedicated she was going to be to nailing her character,” tells Chrisoulaki.  “Ashley had a very long and challenging monologue to master for the climax of the film, but she took it in her stride and delivered a very powerful word-perfect performance. She’s a dream for a director to work with, an incredibly talented actress, but most of all a genuinely great person.”

    LAST LIFE

    Currently in its second season, this award winning web series is streaming online at lastlifeseries.com or YouTube.   LAST LIFE is a fantasy, drama about reincarnation, soul mates and the ancient battle between good and evil. Sloane, with whom Taylor has shared many lifetimes, sets out to rescue her soul mate from the snares of light-witch coven, The Alina. Sloane tries to help Taylor remember who she is, before dark-witch coven, The Blood Born, can use her to fulfill a dark destiny.

    LAST LIFE’s Creator, Director, and Writer Elesha Barnette along with Director and Writer Kathy DiStefano brought on Park for several episodes and they were very pleased to work with her.

     “Ashley is a delight to work with and we feel lucky to have her part of our Last Life cast,” tells DiStefano.  “She’s very professional and takes her craft very seriously. She’s one of the most talented actresses I have ever worked with and her dedication to the projects she’s involved in is very inspiring.”

    BAD SEX WITH GOOD PEOPLE

    Park has the lead role of Norah in this new comedy web series.  The series is produced by former Disney stars Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams.     TERROR TALES 

    TERROR TALES fixes on a husband who is abducted by a psychopath that gives the man the ride from hell, subjecting him to three horrific tales of the macabre – while his family is held captive in an attached cargo trailer. In one segment, Alisha Harding (Ashley Park) is being stalked in the store by a serial killer known as The Sledgehammer.  Christopher Showerman (TV’s Supergirl), Ashley Park, Felissa Rose (2 Jennifer), Jonathan Tiersten (Sleepaway Camp) and Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th) help make up the cast of the Jimmy Lee Combs written/directed film.

    ROSEWOOD

    Park appears in season two of this popular Fox series in the episode when the team investigate a food truck vendor with a checkered past and ties to Slade’s past that is found dead.
