The Puppets Return! Trailer For Puppet Master X: Axis Rising Released!

Charles Band and his Full Moon Entertainment label have always been one of my favorite B-Movie distributors. They’ve been around since the 1980’s in one form or another and have put out plenty of excellent B-Movies up through the decades (The Puppet Master franchise, Demonic Toys duology, Trancers series, Subspecies series, Gingerdead Man trilogy, Evil Bong trilogy, as well as some kid-friendly outings like the Prehysteria trilogy and the Josh Kirby serials to name some). Lately, they’ve been putting in quite the effort at making a pretty good comeback these last few years, after going through about a 10 year slump in the early 2000’s. Among their more recent top-tier releases has been the 2009  revival of their infamous and undying Puppet Master franchise by way of Puppet Master: Axis of Evil (The 9th entry for those who may not have been keeping track), and despite that movie ending on a pretty bold cliffhanger, Full Moon surprisingly did not rush out a follow-up sequel, but instead waited several years.

Now, after a long wait, the much-anticipated trailer for the 10th entry of the Puppet Master saga is here! (Well technically 11th if you count Puppet Master vs Demonoic Toys, which Full Moon does not since they never made that entry, but I personally rather enjoyed it). And boy, does it give Puppet Master fans a lot to be excited about! Putting aside the fun-looking action scenes, tone-fitting music, and the return of all our favorite classic puppets, this trailer also gives us confirmation that it does indeed pick up right after the cliffhanger at the end of  Puppet Master: Axis of Evil and we get our first on-screen looks of the four brand new evil living puppets of this entry – Blitzkrieg the tank, Bombshell the deadly female Nazi agent, Kamikaze the Japanese explosive expert, and Weremacht the werewolf S.S soldier! Sadly, it looks like the fan-favorite new puppet of the previous entry, Ninja, will not be returning – unless of course they just chose not to show him in the trailer, but I doubt that’s the case since they seemingly showed every other puppet.

Axis of Evil was one of my personal favorite entries in the series, so I’m very excited that we finally get to see the continuation of that story. Puppet Master X: Axis Rising will be available exclusively on Full Moon’s online store starting October 9th (Pre-Order now!) and will be available in a wide release in stores and other online retailers starting October 23rd.
