Horror, creatures, mockmusters, how about a comedy break? “30 Nights of Paranormal Activity with the Devil Inside the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is the third parody feature written and directed by Craig Moss. Parodies can be very dangerous because you need actors that look and act like the original actors. Also, if the comedy is too exaggerated, forced, or has too much toilet humor then it can kill the comedy and entire movie.
After watching “Breaking Wind” again which is Craig’s parody of Twilight, I appreciated how he bombarded us with nonstop humor and he didn’t try too hard to shock or disgust us. Simple things I enjoyed like when Bella tells her father that Edward is in her life and Edward’s head pops in for half a second to say “Hello”. It’s the same simple comedy that I enjoyed in Zucker Zucker Abrahams films.

Flip Schultz who starred in “Breaking Wind” also stars as Aaron Galen in “30 Nights of Paranormal Activity with the Devil Inside the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. After telling Flip I enjoyed “Breaking Wind” I asked him if we can expect the same in “30 Nights…”.
Flip, “So glad you liked “Breaking Wind”, that was a fun movie to work on.”30 Nights of Paranormal Activity….” is going to be even more outrageous – Abraham Lincoln hooks up with ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ & my character has a personal moment with Donald Trump – but it also is a damn good comedy on it’s own. There’s silliness, physical comedy, parody, great writing & great performances.”
Olivia Alexander plays Liz Galen (Flip’s daughter) and had a more challenging role than she did in “Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader”.
Olivia, “This was definitely the hardest role I have ever done because it was not only physically demanding, but Lisbeth is iconic. I know how much she means to the fans of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and I didn’t want to screw it up! I spent a lot of time just being obsessed with “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”. I watched the movies probably 20 times, read blogs, and interviews with Rooney Mara. Everyday our incredible hair and make up department would transform me. I didn’t even recognize myself. The moment I walked on set, I realized that I didn’t have to do any work. Not only were the people I was working with hilarious, but also Craig Moss is a real talent. He is an incredible communicator and knows exactly what he wants. Once I got my first few scenes knocked out, I fell into a really comfortable stride. The great thing about funny writing is that you just have to trust in it. On top of it all, we had so much freedom to improv and that made it a blast. You never ever knew where it was going to go!”
Olivia tells us a good reason to see it. “It’s a true parody film, where there is a story intertwined inside the parodies. We really take shots at not only the horror genre, but a lot of pop culture too! It’s an hour and twenty minutes to kick your feet up and not take it too seriously! “
If that’s not enough then how about Flip’s….um…incentive ”OK fans, here it is, the most persuasive thing I can think of to ensure that you pick up this movie: “If you purchase this movie, I will personally come to your house, heat up a frozen dinner for you and tuck you in bed.” DISCLAIMER: ‘Only one person will win and will most likely be my wife”.
“30 Nights of Paranormal Activity with the Devil Inside the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is due out January 15, 2013 on DVD and Blu-Ray.
