B-movie star Bruce Campbell is bringing a little fear to Hastings Saturday — but in a lighthearted way.

Campbell, star of “The Evil Dead” trilogy of the 1980s and the current television series “Burn Notice,” will speak on the Hastings College campus at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in French Memorial Chapel.

This event, sponsored by the Artist Lecture Series National Speakers Committee, is open to the public, but seating is limited.

As a veteran horror film actor, Campbell was selected for his insights into fear, this year’s ALS theme.

“It seemed important to interject a lighter side of the very human and all-too-frequent emotion,” said Susan Franklin, faculty member of the ALS committee.

The lecture will focus on the actor’s experience with horror movies and how they factor into people’s lives.
