Launch of The B Movie Nation Summer Movie Tour

One of the things we are particularly and painfully aware of is the lack of screen time for pure genre or B cinema. Nothing beats sitting in a darkened theatre with images of fantasy, pulpitude, and fun projected on a large screen. All of us genre film fans were most likely seduced into a lifetime of fandom by this experience. Frankly, while TV’s are getting better, nothing beats a mitt full of buttery popcorn coupled with a good B Movie flickering gleefully on the screen.

Drawing from our experience of running the B Movie celebration these past 6 years and combined with our work on the Bmovienation.com website, we are pleased to announce the launch of the B Movie Nation Movie Roadshow.

Beginning in May of this year, we, in partnership with the Independent Theatre Alliance, will be launching a summer B Movie tour. With over 52 theatres and drive-ins already signed up, our goal is to bring back fun to the movies. Films to be included will be the 30th Anniversary presentation of Jim Wynorski’s first opus “The Lost Empire”, “Gila!”, a loving remake of the 1959 classic “The Giant Gila Monster”, “Resurrection”, and many more. So grab your blankets, throw your buddies into the trunk, sneak into your closest drive-in and grab a giant slice of Americana, The B Movie.

Stay tuned for more announcements. Also, we are actively seeking the help of local B Movie Ambassadors to spread the word, generate excitement, and gently lead the American population back into the warm embrace of the B Movie.
