David Cronenberg has been writing, directing, producing, editing,  along with other jobs since the sixties and still continues to write and direct.  “Scanners” is still high on my list of 80’s movies.  We already know the storyline, but here it is. “Scanners” is about a scientist that sends a man with extraordinary psychic powers to hunt others like him.

Why bring up Scanners now, because awhile back Second Sight Films announced that Scanners Limited Edition Blu-Ray Steelbook would be available the end of 2012 or early 2013.  This February they announced on their Facebook page that they needed a couple extra weeks to finalize things and now the official date will be April 8^th, 2013.  For more information visit Second Sight Films website and Facebook page.
