Cinema Wasteland to stalk Strongsville

Oh my gawd, it’s a gaggle of bloody freaks in a pool of movie geeks! Ah, no worries. For years, they’ve been getting along swimmingly in their own little “Cinema Wasteland.” Shrieking cretins, it’s the Cinema Wasteland Movie and Memorabilia Expo — the 13th edition!At 5 Friday, the weekendlong festival rolls out the bloody carpet at the Holiday Inn Srtongsville, 15471 Royalton Road.

See maniacs worship at the feet of monsters! A graveyard of horror icons and enough movie freaks to keep even Ghoulardi up at night! A lair of humans displaying their affection for B-grade flicks! Cinema Wasteland will not only feature dozens of movies, it also boasts memorabilia games, panel discussions and guest appearances by horror actors.This go-around features the reunion of the cast of the Wes Craven classic, “The Hills have Eyes” – including cult movie hero Michael Berryman.

The action includes midnight movies showing Friday and Saturday nights. It comes to an end at 5 p.m. Sunday.Three-day VIP Passes are available at the door Friday for $50. Single day admissions are available for $20 per day at the door.
