On January 1, 2002 Jerry G. Angelo left New Mexico for Los Angeles to pursue a career in producing, acting and writing. He is very competitive, hardworking, and ambitious and shortly after working in the industry he started up his own production company Fire Born Studios. Currently he has many films in production due out in 2014 including a thriller, action, and horror film.
Be sure to check out his studio’s website, IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1324774/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1, and Facebook page to learn more about him and his partners at Fire Born Studios.
After years of acting and directing shorts you started up Fire Born Studios. The studio already is quite ambitious with at least a half dozen films in production or completed. What is the studios goal in the next several years?
JGA: 2014 marks my 12 Years a Producer. Along with that goes acting, writing, directing, teaching, failing, reinventing, maturing, and so on. One of the best objectives I got right from the beginning was being ambitious. I set goals so high and big most everyone overlooked me, even myself many times. However, by the grace of God, good attitude, and perseverance, my talents were able to catch up. Moving forward from here I’ll choose my work and projects with more thought. I see 2014 being my biggest growth internally and externally as a filmmaker and businessman.
One of the highly anticipated films due out soon by Fire Born Studios is ‘7 Faces of Jack the Ripper.’ The film is directed and stars Timothy Woodward Jr., who is also directing several more upcoming Fire Born Studio pictures.

The film is an adaptation from the historic and horrific slayings of Jack the Ripper. From the script’s outline to post production, how well did the overall process go?
JGA: The process of making 7 FACES OF JACK THE RIPPER (releasing 2014) was my “productorial” Hollywood debut. I had a meeting with Timothy Woodward Jr at a Coffee Bean in W. Hollywood. He told me about a little project that he wanted to make. He liked me to play a reclusive, sadistic, psychotic, witty sick bastard. I was like, “Okay?” With that I was on as a producer, both of us ambitious as hell. Along with a dedicated team, and some good fortune, and creative enlightenment, we were able to transform this independent film into something that will horrify our audiences and hold up to the test of time. I predict this will set independent film records, be highlighted in many film making discussions, and provide a launching pad for a few of our careers. I do want to say, I had a difficult time with portraying this type of character. The character I prepared to be, imagined, researched, studied and planned to set loose became even more horrifying than I ever dreamed. Once filming began, the bar was set on the 1st day and continued to re-set itself what seemed almost every day. This will be tough for me to watch.
“Beyond Justice”
A young criminal defense attorney struggles with a homicide case that is not as cut and dry as it appears while battling a drinking habit. The story goes beyond the lives of those directly related to the case and shines a much needed spotlight on the horrific world of human trafficking in the United States.

“Beyond Justice” has a famous cast including Danny Trejo and Mischa Barton. How was working with this cast and what can we expect from this film?
JGA: Beyond Justice is my follow-up film as a producer and leading actor. After 7 FACES OF JACK THE RIPPER trailer was released it landed us in a very prestigious position with many studios and investors. We were given a healthy opportunity and a young film producer’s dream to continue on our path with an open ended deal to make a slate of projects. With a nice budget increase, we were able to start fishing for a cast of actors that have global appeal in the distribution market. Danny is a fun loving individual who looks mean and loves to act. His lives up to his menacing persona as human trafficking bad guy. Mischa was wonderful to work with. She had the difficult role to undertake as an attorney, a role that required much practice, and earns my respect. Vinnie Jones, yikes, this guy is as serious of an actor as I’ve seen. Dedicated, and he knows what his role is in an action / thriller. Luke Goss, is a generous actor. I identified with him the most, and when he was preparing and was on, I watched carefully and cheered.
“Deception” Politically ambitious man, Christopher Quinones, decides to run for Senator and takes his fiancée on a trip from Washington to his home-town of Santa Fe. But when Chris comes across his first love — a man, Devon Holmes, who re-ignites a passion in him — Chris must choose between his desire for a career in politics and his wish to live a life of integrity and honesty.
Tragically writer and director Jay Durrwachter passed away after filming “Deception”. Having such a tragedy happen, how did you carry on with the film and what is next for it?
JGA: Wow, uh The Deception is such a beautiful film for me and holds a special place in my heart for so many reasons. Jay Durrwacther was a dear friend of mine and we are graced with offerings of his talent and vision in this little film. Jay and I started this journey together to make, complete and bring The Deception to the world and that has not changed. Although Jay never got to see the final product of his work, many will, and I will continue to bring this movie to its viewers. We will be having a Hollywood premiere in 2014 which I am quite pleased about.
Currently filming and due out later in 2014 is “The Kirkbride Project.” A horror/supernatural thriller/ that tells the haunting tale of five college students who disappeared investigating an abandoned insane asylum the day after they were approached by a strange man who informed the friends of the asylums whereabouts.
Where is this film currently in production and how did the film come about?
JGA: I look forward to producing The Kirkbride Project with Cody Sundvour. I had the privilege of meeting Cody on set a few years back and I saw so much of myself in him because of his ambition. Kirkbride is a wonderful location that is ripe for a great script and story. I promise you that once production begins we will let you know and keep you teased with the day to day progress. Until then I will continue to climb the Hollywood ladder. My last thing I want to say is, “just be happy. Do things that make you happy. Make projects that make you happy. And if it is in the cards that you are to have a career in the business than so be it. If not, than at least your happy.” jerry g. angelo
