Angie Stevenson is a strong-willed actress and business woman, she has recently starred in B Movies such as, “Piranhaconda,” “The Family,” “LizardMan: The Terror of the Swamp,” and the comedy “Celebrity Sex Tape.” 2014 will be a big year for Angie, as she’s in a half dozen films completed and several others currently in production. Growing up in Santa Cruz, her father is a karate champion, her mother an artist, and Angie along with her sister Avery Rose were surrounded by caring, loving parents that wanted their daughter’s to pursue their dreams. Angie did just that and left home at 18 to become an actress. It requires supreme effort when taking that leap at an early age and with her positive attitude, Angie did just that.
Five Quick Questions with Angie Stevenson (formerly Angie Savage)
In the last couple years you have been in a creature film, horror, and comedy. How have the experiences of acting in B movies been for you so far?
ANGIE: So far I’ve been having a blast. Working on The Family changed my life… I was cast only in the one opening scene to start with and was nervous as hell to be part of such a cool film with brilliant actors and Horror film legends. After we wrapped my scene and I returned to Los Angeles the Directors Joe Hollow and Wolfgang Myer decided to re-write me in the script as the Female lead (Carmen) This film and Joe Hollow gave me the courage and confidence to quit the Adult industry and make a better life for myself.
You operate Angie’s Wieners food truck. How did you get involved in that and what’s your future business plan for it?
ANGIE: Yes I sure do I got the concept in my head years ago while doing some autograph signings with Jim beam and easy rider Magazine at bike shows. I felt there was a void for catchy, sexy food vendors. so after time I put together a business plan and met my business partner Forest King on the set of syfy channels Piranhaconda (films producer) we started by selling out of a tent and have now moved into a food truck and I hope to franchise my trucks someday, open a restaurant on the Sunset strip and hope to have my own wiener in the super market someday I’m dreaming big, always have.
After moving to Hollywood at a young age, you had many jobs while working your way into acting. Can you tell us about all your hard work during that time?
ANGIE: oh boy yes I graduated high school early and moved to Newport beach where I worked many restaurant jobs… my favorite was the Improv comedy club where I got to be around fun people, entertainment and humor (my favorite things) my last job before moving up to Hollywood was as an office manager at on online dating site. I learned a lot about business during this job but felt like a sitting duck and needed to be more stimulated…. so I made the leap to Hollywood.
As an adult video actress, how was the transition to acting in movies?
ANGIE: Because of my comfort on camera it definitely helped. Adult is very vulnerable and because i did what I did in that industry I feel I can do anything now and not be afraid to give it my all. I got into adult at a young and impressionable age but it was never what I wanted for my life. I don’t regret anything in life because it has put me where I am now and I’m in a good place.
As an actress, model and business woman, what are your goals the next several years?
ANGIE: I plan turning Angie’s Wieners into a national brand and making it as big and profitable as possible. I’d really love to dive more into acting as soon as my schedule permits and hopefully have a family someday. I just want to be happy and proud for the rest of my life.
