WOLFCOP

Yes, you read that right – WOLFCOP. Half wolf, half cop, all B-movie badass.

“It’s not unusual for alcoholic cop Lou Garou to black out and wake up in unfamiliar surroundings, but lately things have taken a strange turn. Crime scenes seem oddly familiar. Lou’s senses are heightened, and when the full moon is out, he’s a rage-fueled werewolf. Wolfcop is one cop’s quest to become a better man… One transformation at a time.“

Lou Garou – a play on the French translation for werewolf (Loup Garou) – is the titular Wolfcop, and in the trailer it looks like we’re in for a bit of a wild ride in a similar vein as Super Troopers. Snappy one-liners, some casual racism, B-grade makeup work, and a fairly decent looking werewolf transformation reminiscent of the Hemlock Grove transformation. It looks like moviegoers can expect some slapstick humor, cheap laughs, but an entertaining experience nonetheless.

Cops, werewolves, some awkwardly Canadian scenery, and even a wolf on girl sex scene – Sign me up!

Wolfcop is being released in selected Canadian theatres (sorry not sorry) on June 9th, but should be available on VOD shortly after.
