The Bay : A Troy King Review

Directed by Barry Levinson

Written by Michael Wallach

Ok first off I’m a BL fan, he has a spectacular body of work and has a real knack for telling a good story.
The Bay of course is not exactly what you are used to seeing coming from BL,it’s basically a found footage film.
The narrative is pretty straight forward ,after 3 years it’s finally time to reveal what’s happened to a small Chesapeake town on July 4th with the help in the beginning from a intern reporter just getting fluff stories down at the bays celebration of our independence. It wasn’t explained why she is one of the few from the town that didn’t die and how did she get out,…just happened I guess,.Ill roll with it.Plus a lot of footage from everywhere else,.like the hospital a couple on a yacht and the police dash cams.
Bottom line not really anything to root for just a number of set ups and folks dying. At first no one knows why but as we find these abnormally large parasites eating their way out of the victims.Pretty gruesome stuff but not shown in huge detail,.The whole outbreak is blamed on a huge amount of chicken waste,.chemicals and radiation and this whole town is shut down for three days,..Lots die, including fish, birds and people,.government is said to have paid the town off to keep quite and we still don’t know how that reporter chick survived.
Like I said nothing new and it slow. Im thinking nothing new and a solid 4/10
