STAR WARS TREATMENT HAS BEEN WRITTEN

Months before Lucasfilm was sold to Disney and plans for new Star Wars movies were announced, Toy Story 3 writer Michael Arndt was hired to write a 40-50 page treatment for Episode VII, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter. Arndt, the Oscar-winning scribe behind Little Miss Sunshine, has completed a treatment for the new movie and is likely to pen a draft of screenplay. Sources also saY that the studio wants Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo in the film, though no deals have been made with the original actors. But EW recently reported that Harrison Ford would be up for returning to the series, and Carrie Fisher told TMZ on Tuesday (Nov. 7) that she would definitely want in.

“Yes. Sure. Wouldn’t you?” she said when asked if she’d accept a role in the new “Star Wars” movie.
