Not to be outdone by his brother Sharknado, mutant megastar Sharktopus is returning to the small screen in Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda, airing August 2, 2014 on Syfy.
Produced by B-movie legend Roger Corman and his wife Julie, the monster sequel finds an American scientist, Robert Carradine (Django Unchained), up to no good (as usual) by creating the half-pterodactyl, half-barracuda: Pteracuda. When the creature inevitably escapes, it’s up to Sharktopus to stop him. Human Katie Savoy (Living with Models) also stars.
The first Sharktopus debuted to 2.5 million viewers, so a sequel seemed imminent. IGN has your first look at the Pteracuda (above), which is seen fleeing from the infamous Sharktopus!
