After being knocked off course in space by some unknown power ray the space ship carrying three astronauts Capt Neal Patterson Lt. Larry Turner & Lt. Mike Cruze, Eric Fleming Patrck Waltz & Dave Willcock, together with rocket scientist professor Konrad, Paul Birch, lands on the planet Venus some 25 million miles from Earth. As the boys soon find out Venus has enough oxygen for them to breath without their spacesuits and is populated by thousands of groovy looking chicks, women, who have this psychological hatred for anything to do with mankind or in short man!
Taken into custody the emperor of the planet Queen Yilana, Laurie Mitchell, takes a liking to the handsome Capt. Patterson who despite her hatred for men makes an exception in Pattersons case. It’s later when Patterson by snatching off Queen Yilana’s mask finds out that she’s suffering from an acute acne condition that she’s somehow blames men, not sweets and candies, for giving to her that had the Queen, after taking over the planet, have the entire male population banned to one of Venus’s moons and used as slave labor by the Venusian women.
We and the boys soon find out that the women warriors under Queen Yilana’s control are a bit sick and tired of her man hating policies and want to depose her as soon as possible. Lead by the Queen’s main man or better yet woman the lovely and seductive Talleah, Zsa Zsa Gabor, the man hungry women plan to free the boys and after putting an end to Queen Yilana’s reign of terror on the planet make up for lost time in getting it on with the three astronauts and professor, who find themselves outnumbered by the man hungry women at least 10,000 to 1, in romancing them! The only trouble with all that is that the soon to be deposed Queen Yilana still has an ace up her slave in that she controls the destructive Beta Disintergrater and in a last effort to rid the universe of men plans to use it on the Earth itself by blasting it dust with everyone,man woman animal & plant life, on it!
***SPOILERS*** The screenplay for Queen from Outer Space” was based on a 10 page synopsis by Ben Hecht who in seeing what a turkey the film turned out to be totally disavowed anything to do with it. As for the movie itself it had since become of the most popular bad movies of all times with it’s top stars Zas Zas Gabor and Eric Fleming going on to bigger and better things. Zas Zas becoming a regular on the TV talk shown and supermarket tabloid circuit with Eric Flaming to star on the hit TV western “Rawhide” with his co-star, being future spaghetti western “Man with no Name” and “shoot first and ask questions later” Dirty Harry Calahan, actor Clint Eastwood.
